Play up Pompey!
i had an opportunity to see skyfall in the theater yesterday.
it's almost as good as casino royale, with some parts of it being even better.
the opening sequence was a real thrill, one of the best.
Great movie. Saw it a couple of weeks back, loved the re-appearance of the Aston Martin.
IMHO, the best-ever Bond film. A good story line sees a flawed Bond battle with his demons.
have any of you been watching the new showtime series, homeland?
the season finale will air next sunday.
i've really been enjoying it.
The plot thickens. TV has revealed that Brody is actually working for MI6 undercover as an English chat show presenter. His US accent has now completely evaporated.
Check out youtube "Damian Lewis have I got news for you". Part 2 is best.
I swear it's true.
i certainly am , providing their are strong arguments that the perpretrator of the crime is guilty beyond any reasonable doubt of the crime he/she is charged with .. i am not religous ,however i do agree with a life for a life principle ,especially if it involves multiple victims.
somebody killing x amount of people, proven of course , have no right to live.
of course with murders of one victim their can be many scenarios which the courts of law can adjudicate for whatever an outcome.
You give your government the right to kill it's own citizens and pretty soon you'll end up with a draconian penal system that only favours the rich.
Capital punishment has no place in a modern society. Captal punishment demeans everyone and panders to those who would seek revenge.

good people, i've decided that my days as a moderator are over.. it's been an interesting 3 years.
some highs, some incredible lows, some weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth.
some hilarity, some tears.
OMG..my big brother actually once moderated this site?
Incredible!
for those who are interested, the november 2012 awake!
is now available for download online.. among items of possible interest are some of the latest examples of fear-mongering "armageddon art" on pages 12 and 14.... .
speaking of armageddon, you will be sad to hear that the criteria for surviving the great day of god's wrath just got a little more stringent.. there are a number of extra things in this month's awake!
The risk of injury due to heading a soccer ball is minimal.
The WT has simply leaped on this article knowing full well that patriarchal daddies will use this as an excuse to stop their kids playing football. Remember, most matches will be at weekends (preaching time!) and will involve at least one parent being unavailable for door to door work due to the parent being occupied in caring and waiting for their child while he plays his game.
It's just the same old same old spoilsport Watchtower Society.
no doubt ray franz is at the top.... paul grundy's web site jwfacts.com helped me the most!
thanks paul!!!.
randall watters from freeminds.org has got to be way up there.... who else?

OMG. I watched Psycho 40 years ago and it scared me senseless. I've scrupulously avoided ever seeing it on the TV. So when your clip showed a few seconds of it, you can guess my reaction.
Anyway, just off to change my pants.
i watched casablanca last night.
rick blaine is cyncial and an alcoholic.. but, he rises above his malaise to do the "right thing" to make the world a better place.
he realizes he doesn't need to sacrifice love or life to do it--he only has to incorporate a larger view of what is valuable into his life and exchange something valuable to achieve it.. in other words, this film has a vision that allows an ideal through behavior by demonstrating a greater opportunity than mere complaint, destruction or self-destruction.
Terry, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.
